In the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the corn market is characterized by the slow progress of the harvest and occasional business, according to what was informed by TF Agroecoómica. “Among occasional deals, which according to our correspondents reached around 10,000 tons, the export market remains aggressive, and today, prices of up to R$ 114.00 per bag have been heard. Furthermore, industrial prices remained unchanged, indicating 109.00 Arroio do Meio, 108.00 Marau, 102.00 Santa Rosa and Ijuí. Prices in Panambi remained at R$ 95.00 per producer”, he comments.

In Santa Catarina, business is around R$ 104.00. “Buyers’ avid search found a scarce availability of lots on the market. Even so, it is estimated that they have traded in a volume of 10 thousand tons. In the Midwest and West, business between R$104.00 and R$105.00 CIF factories, depending on the term, in taxed lots. It would reach the state at around $116.17/bag, signaling that there is still a space to be occupied by national corn”, he adds.
